How to convert a Lovable website into a WordPress theme with Esipher

Turn your Lovable website into a WordPress theme by connecting its GitHub repository to Esipher. This step by step guide walks you through every screen.

Before you begin, make sure your Lovable project is connected to a GitHub repository and that Esipher is installed on your WordPress website. The screenshots show an example website, so always use your own website address and the callback URL displayed on your own Esipher screen.

Step 01

Open Connected Projects in Esipher

Sign in to your WordPress dashboard, open Esipher and select Connected Projects. This screen holds your GitHub connection details, along with the callback URL you will need later in this guide.

Step 1. Open Esipher, then Connected Projects, in your WordPress dashboard.
Step 02

Create a GitHub OAuth app

In GitHub, open Settings and choose Developer settings, then OAuth Apps. Select New OAuth App to register the application that allows Esipher to read your project repository.

Step 2. In GitHub, go to Settings, Developer settings, OAuth Apps and select New OAuth App.
Step 03

Enter your application name and website

Give the application a clear name, such as the name of your project. In the Homepage URL field, enter the address of the WordPress website where your Lovable build will be published.

Step 3. Enter your project name and your WordPress website address in the application form.
Step 04

Copy the callback URL from WordPress

Return to Esipher in WordPress and copy the authorization callback URL shown beneath the credential fields. Paste it into the Redirect URL field on the GitHub form, then select Register application.

Step 4. Copy the exact callback URL from your own Esipher screen into GitHub, then register the application.
Step 05

Save your GitHub credentials in Esipher

Once the application is registered, GitHub opens its settings page. Copy the Client ID, then select Generate a new client secret and copy the secret straight away, as GitHub displays it only once. Back in Esipher, paste both values into their fields and select Save & Connect.

Step 5. Copy your Client ID and generate a client secret, then paste both into Esipher and select Save & Connect. Credentials are hidden in this screenshot.
Step 06

Add your repository, branch and theme slug

When Esipher confirms that GitHub is connected, copy the URL of the repository that holds your Lovable project and paste it into the GitHub repo field. You can leave Branch empty to use the default branch. Enter your project name in the Theme slug field, then select Connect & sync now. Esipher will pull your build from GitHub and turn it into a WordPress theme on your website.

Before you sync

Keep your credentials private

Enter your client secret only in Esipher’s Client Secret field. Do not include it in articles, screenshots or a public repository.

Review and apply updates

Each time you push changes to GitHub, your project is rebuilt and Esipher shows an Apply update button when the new build is ready. An administrator must approve every update, so nothing installs or activates on your website without your say.

Know what converts

  • Authentication, database operations and live data do not convert. Esipher detects and reports them.
  • Client routing beyond what exists in the built HTML does not convert.
  • Custom component layouts are not yet split into individually editable blocks.
  • Builder specific adapters and a conversion history or rollback screen are still to come.

Esipher works with finished Vite and React builds. Connecting a repository does not automatically recreate unsupported dynamic functionality.
